Link up of Labour Day and Station D with Brette Harrington on January 6th, 2018. These two peaks were the last in the Slesse Group to have seen winter ascents. Simultaneously; Marc-Andre Leclerc and Tom Livingstone were making the first winter ascent of the 800m Navigator wall on Mt. Slesse, this may have been one of the most productive days in the history of South Coast alpinism..

Station D

Brette Harrington on the upper ramparts of Station D’s North Face..

Slesse’s main summit and the Navigator Wall can be seen in the background..

The Navigator Wall gets it’s name from the tragedy of 1956 when Trans-Canada Flight 810 bound for Calgary made sudden impact, killing all 62 people on board, the wreckage is still fused to the summit rocks..
