First generation born on the West Coast, Kieran lives in Squamish, BC engaged in place based practices that centre collaborative story telling.
Photography gave me an opportunity to access outdoor spaces and the experiences on the land, both before and since have shaped my path significantly. In some ways it feels as if I needed to learn to relate to mountains before I could try again with people.
My work stems from this close relationship with place, and the stories that make it.

“Stop. Think. Listen. Hear the roaring vastness of a great valley, or the sigh of wind in the treetops, or the eternal thunder of breakers on the shore. Then go back and speak to the world from your heart." —Randy Stoltmann, 1993
Through time on the land I have come to appreciate the limitations of a single perspective, the coming together of difference that creates a place. I borrow from this to guide my work, in collaborative and community led projects but also in my own projects and curiosities.
With one eye trained to the fleeting, candid moments of raw documentation.
The other is less focused and tends to wander out of time, inspiring a reflective fine art practice.
